Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with some olive oil.
In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced zucchinis, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and dried oregano; toss to coat evenly.
In another bowl, mix the grated zucchini, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, and fresh basil until well combined.
Layer half of the sliced zucchinis on the bottom of the greased baking dish. Spread half of the cheesy mixture over the first layer of zucchini.
Repeat with the remaining sliced zucchinis and top with the rest of the cheesy mixture, ensuring it's evenly distributed.
Drizzle a bit of olive oil over the top for added flavor and moisture.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Serve warm, garnished with additional fresh basil on top for a vibrant touch.
